The beginnings and the first café
Brno is a city of cafes today, but that was definitely not the case in 2015. At that time, we traveled a lot and wondered what to do with our lives. Berlin enchanted us with its cafes, so we started thinking about creating a place similar to the ones we knew from our travels. And it worked! Since spring 2015, we started working on the concept of the first Punkt on Bayerova Street. It lasted until the beginning of 2016, and at the end of February, the first Punkt was born.
Bakery and second café with roasting room
The café was thriving, more and more people were flocking to us, and we gradually began to realize how great a place Punkt. was. After about a year, we started baking our own pastries and desserts, and gradually built our own production facility for that purpose. Other plans for development were also emerging, but COVID came and everything stopped.
We happened to find a space for Punkt.espresso.bar in 2021. We fell in love with the huge storefront and in May 2022 we opened a second café and then a roastery in the space behind it.
Further plans and development
We are still a small family business and we value relationships with our customers and our team. Many of them have become our close friends. We try to enjoy our business and not just do it for the money.
We love to give life to new places, our cafes are lively and we love the hustle and bustle. We are not against starting another business if a place enchants us. If you are thinking about starting your own business, feel free to contact us, we will be happy to help.
